Montague wins Division 3 softball district title on the strength of a five-run inning

LSJ Logo incertThe Montague girls’ softball team captured a Division 3 district title on Monday night with a 9-5 over host North Muskegon.

A five-run third inning was the difference for the Wildcats.

Kenadee Shugars pitched the win for Montague, striking out 11 batters in a complete game effort.

Allyssa Bobian led the Wildcats with three hits while Brandi Rice, Hannah Smith, and Shugars each added two hits.

North Muskegon’s Morgan Nelson collected three hits.
