Twins 9, Tigers 5 – The Minnesota Twins offense compiled 16 hits leading to a victory over the Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

Victor Martinez hit a home run for Detroit while James McCann knocked in two runs.

Detroit starting pitcher Alfredo Simon took the loss, allowing five earned runs on 10 hits in 2 1/3 innings.

Detroit will look to take a split in the four-game series against the Twins on Sunday afternoon, before heading into the all-star break.
