Detroit sports glance: Blue Jays complete sweep, Tigers 10 games under .500 mark

Blue Jays 9, Tigers 2 – The Toronto Blue Jays completed the sweep of the Tigers, scoring a total of 29 runs in three games over the weekend.

LSJ Logo incertThe Tigers are now 10 games under the .500 mark for the first time since the 2008 season, where they finished the season 14 games below the mark.

Miguel Cabrera and James McCann each knocked in a run for Detroit, while Nick Castellanos hit two doubles.

Detroit starting pitcher Alfredo Simon suffered the loss, allowing sixEye on the D runs on six hits in five innings.

The Tigers will head to Kansas City to take on the Royals in a three-game series starting on Tuesday night.
