Muskegon Community College’s Paige Baustert and Amanda Skidmore led the women’s soccer team to a 10-1 win on the road over Ancilla College on Saturday.lsj-fb-logo

Baustert tallied a hat trick in the opening half and totaled four goals in the match with Skidmore assisting on each goal. Skidmore also added a goal for the Jayhawks who led 6-0 by halftime.

“We had a conversation with Paige about playing forward a few weeks ago and she was a bit concerned because she wasn’t 100% sure what to do up top,” said first year MCC Coach Jeff Lohman. “We just told her she was already doing what she needed to do. Her and (Amanda) Skidmore really worked well together being involved in five of our goals.”

Lauren Maus also led the Jayhawks with two goals while Lyric Glaser, Melodie Glotzbach and Kaitlin Richardson each had a goal and an assist.

Megan McFarland and Mackenzie Wozniak combined for the win in goal.
