The Shelby Tigers beat the Newaygo Lions 1-0 on Thursday in a nonconference soccer game.
Scoring for the Tigers was Christian Salgado, who found the back of the net 21 minutes into the game off an assist from Darwin Ramirez.
The Tigers out shot the Lions 9-3 in the game.
