Rays 8, Tigers 0 – The Tigers were held scoreless on Wednesday nights as the Tampa Bay Rays defeated Detroit to avoid the sweep.
Anthony Gose, Miguel Cabrera and Bryan Holaday each doubled for Detroit.
Detroit starting pitcher Kyle Lobstein pitched the loss, allowing five runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings.
The Tigers will go on the road to start a four-game series with the Cleveland Indians starting on Thursday night.
