Twins 6, Tigers 2 – The Tigers are now officially eliminated from playoff contention, after losing to the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night.

Detroit starting pitcher Alfredo Simon took the loss, allowing four runs on eight hits in eight innings.

Detroit General Manager Al Avila announced before the game that the Tigers will retain Manager Brad Ausmus for the 2016 season.
