Tigers 6, Royals 5 – The Tigers held on to beat the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night to snap their four-game losing streak.

LSJ Logo incertIan Kinsler hit his 10th home run of the season and knocked in three runs for Detroit, while Miguel Cabrera, James McCann and Jose Iglesias each had an RBI for the Tigers.

Detroit starting pitcher Justin Verlander picked up his second straight victory, allowing two earned runs on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Bruce Rondon pitched his third save of the season for the Tigers, allowing just a walk in the ninth inning.Eye on the D

The Tigers will look to win the three-game series with a victory over the Royals on Wednesday night.
