Detroit sports glance: Tigers out last Rays in extra innings, will look to get rare sweep tomorrow

Tigers 8, Rays 7 (13 innings) – Rajai Davis was the hero again for the Tigers, knocking in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 13th inning as Detroit beat the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night.

LSJ Logo incertDavis also hit his third home run in two days, while J.D. Martinez hit his team leading 36th home run for the Tigers.

Detroit starting pitcher Matt Boyd pitched a no decision, allowing three runs on three hits in five plus innings.

Kyle Ryan picked up the victory for the Tigers, allowing just Eye on the Done hit in 1 1/3 innings.

The Tigers will look to get their first three-game series sweep since their second series of the season back in mid-April.

Record: 64-74
