Detroit sports glance: Tigers’ sloppy defense leads to 7-6 loss to Rangers

Rangers 7, Tigers 6 – The Tigers’ defense struggled, committing four errors in Tuesday night’s loss to the Texas Rangers.

LSJ Logo incertJ.D. Martinez and Bryan Holaday each homered for Detroit, while Dixon Machado doubled and knocked in one run.

Detroit starting pitcher Daniel Norris was rocked in a no decision, allowing six runs (two earned) on five hits in 1 2/3 innings.

Buck Farmers was handed the loss, allowing the game-winning run during his two innings of Eye on the Drelief for the Tigers.

The Tigers will look to win the three-game series over the Rangers with a victory in the series finale on Wednesday night.
