Detroit sports glance: Tigers start final road trip with 7-4 victory over Rangers

Tigers 7, Rangers 4 – Tyler Collins’ three-run home run in the fifth inning broke a 1-1 tie and started a five-run inning that led the Tigers over the Texas Rangers on Monday night.

Detroit starting pitcher Justin Verlander picked up the win, allowing one run on six hits in six innings.

Tigers’ closer Neftali Feliz induced a double play to end the game and pick up his 10th save of the season.
