The Fruitport Trojans went 2-3 as a team at the Portage Central volleyball tournament on Saturday.
The Trojans lost in three games to Romeo in the semifinals 20-25, 25-13, 16-14.
In pool play, Fruitport topped St. Joseph 25-22, 25-23 and 15-12 and also beat Delton Kellogg 26-24, 25-27 and 15-10, but fell to Gull Lake and Romeo.
Alyssa Veihl had 87 assists, 41 digs, nine aces, 15 kills, and two blocks to lead Fruitport. Katie Veihl had seven aces, 23 kills, 35 digs, and two blocks.
Lyndsey Ball had five aces and 39 digs, Sammy Hockstra led with 50 digs, while Delaney Bennett had 18 kills, two blocks and 21 digs.
At the net, Ally German posted six blocks while Alyse McPheron and Eliza Johnson both had four blocks for Fruitport.
