Lumberjacks get first exhibition victory with a 5-4 overtime win over Team USA Under 17s

Bo Hansen scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to give the Muskegon Lumberjacks a 5-4 exhibition victory over the Team USA Under 17 squad in Green Bay on Saturday.LSJ Logo incert

The game was tied 2-2 after one period, with the Jacks getting goals from Jacob Coleman and Bryan Nelson and Team USA answering with goals from Jacob Tortora and Josh Norris.

Muskegon went up 4-2 in the second period with goals from Hansen and Chris Klack. Team USA made it 4-3 after two periods with a late power play tally from Logan Cockerill.

Joseph Cassetti scored the lone goal of the third period for Team USA, sending the game into overtime.

Hansen scored during the 3-on-3 portion in overtime to secure the win for the Lumberjacks, who are now 1-2 in the preseason.
