The Eagles improved to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in league play.

Jaegar Beattie opened the scoring for the Eagles with a nine yard touchdown reception from quarterback Brady Luttrull with 9:36 left in the first quarter.

Brandon Ferguson gave Oakridge a 13-0 lead with 3:59 left in the first quarter on a one yard rushing touchdown.

The Tigers responded with their only score of the night with a 33-yard touchdown run from Juan Cavazos to cut Shelby’s deficit to 13-7 with 2:37 left in the first quarter.

Beattie scored his second touchdown of the game on a 31-yard pass from Luttrull with 1:06 left in the first giving Oakridge a 21-7 lead after a successful two-point conversion.

The Eagles scored two touchdowns in the second quarter on 43-yard catch by Hunter Drummond and a 40-yard reception by James Cooper III with 8:42 and 1:32 left, respectively.

Oakridge took a 35-7 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Cooper III scored his second touchdown of the night on a pass from eight yards out with 4:41 left in the third quarter to give the Eagles a 42-7 lead.

Kolin Chahorski closed out the scoring for Oakridge on a one yard touchdown with 9:22 left in the game.

Chahorski led the Eagles with 149 rushing yards, while Luttrull threw for 339 yards, five touchdowns and one interception.

Beattie and Cooper III each caught eight passes for 90 yards and 155 yards, respectively.
