The Muskegon Big Reds won their fourth straight game in easy fashion Friday, downing Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills 44-0 in O-K Black Conference action at Hackley Stadium.lsj-fb-logo

The Big Reds, now 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in O-K Black, scored early and often to secure the win.

They scored 14 points in the first quarter on a six-yard touchdown run by PP Copeland and a 33-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kalil Pimpleton to Copeland.

Muskegon added 24 more points in the second quarter on a 29-yard scoring pass from Terrien Hill-McKay to Copeland, a 50-yard touchdown strike from Pimpleton to Jacorey Sullivan and a one yard touchdown run by Jared Pittman.

Demetrio Lopez finished the first half scoring with a 23 yard field goal.

The Big Reds scored their only points of the second half on a 12-yard touchdown run in the third quarter by Ernest Lyons.

Muskegon dominated statistically, with a 15-5 edge in first downs, 151-46 advantage in rushing and a 155-68 edge in passing. Overall the Big Reds outgained the Knights 306-115.

Pimpleton completed 8 of 10 passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns for Muskegon. He also led a balanced running attack with five rushes for 45 yards.

Hill-McKay led the defense with 10 tackles, Andrew Ward added seven and Keyante Carpenter chipped in four.
