LSJ Logo incertThe Muskegon Catholic football team picked up a 34-13 road victory over Ludington in a Lakes 8 game on Friday night.

Muskegon Catholic’s Logan Helton opened the scoring with a nine yard rushing touchdown to give the Crusaders a 6-0 lead.

The Crusaders scored three touchdowns in the second quarter on a 58-yard rush by LaTommy Scott, a 45-yard interception return by Mason Convertini, and 48-yard run from quarterback Christian Martinez.

Muskegon Catholic led 27-0 at halftime.

Scott scored the last Crusader touchdown with a three-yard run to give Muskegon Catholic a 34-0 lead.

Ludington’s Jared Collins scored both of its touchdowns in the fourth quarter from one yard and 24-yards out, respectively.

Scott finished with 133 yards on 10 carries with one touchdown for the Crusaders, while Helton finished with 101 yards on 12 carries and one touchdown.

Collins led the Orioles with 96 yards and two touchdowns.
