Unbeaten Whitehall volleyball starts strong in league play

Whitehall hasn’t cracked the state rankings issued by the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association, but it might be just a matter of time before they do.

Whitehall improved to 11-0 on Tuesday following its opening match in the West Michigan Conference, defeating Oakridge 25-7, 25-23, 25-17.

Lauren Lopez and Julie Brown led the attack at the net with eight and seven kills, respectively. Brown also tallied 11 digs.

Setter Alyssa Myers totaled 38 assists for the Vikings, while Brianna Copley had a solid overall showing with six kills, two aces and eight digs.
