The Spring Lake girls golf team captured the Division 3 golf regional on Wednesday at Egypt Valley Country Club.
The Lakers posted a 332 team score to beat second place Forest Hills Eastern by 43 strokes. Unity Christian was the third school to qualify for the Division 3 State Finals Oct. 16-17 at Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing.
Ludington placed sixth (413), Whitehall (417) was eighth and Fremont (424) placed tenth.
Spring Lake’s Wadezyn Nelson took medalist honors with a 77.
SL’s Kayla Krueger (79) was second, Anna Kramer (83) placed fourth, Emma Conroy (93) finished 11th overall and Jaelyn Shelton (102) was 26th.
