Anthony Jones exploded for 37 points to lead Muskegon Heights past Orchard View 70-23 Tuesday in non-league boys basketball.

Muskegon Heights improved to 4-1 on the season.

Edrise Jenkins paced Orchard View (2-3) with 10 points.

COOPERSVILLE 56, FRUITPORT 32 – Coopersville jumped out to an early lead and didn’t look back. A 21-point second quarter further cemented that lead. Logan Panetta had five of the Bronco’s 24 steals along with six rebounds. Nicholas Dekkenga led the Broncos with 14 points and Ben Welch added 13. Zac Miller’s 10-point night led the Trojans.

LUDINGTON 50, REETHS-PUFFER 28 – The Orioles (3-1) used an 18-2 advantage in the second quarter to pull away from the Rockets (0-5). Leading the way for Ludington was Cameron Bandstra with 10 points, while Sam LaDuke and Noah Laman scored nine each. Michael Slaughter scored 11 points to lead the Rockets.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 61, HOLTON 50 – Muskegon Catholic Central was able to withstand a 17-9 Holton fourth quarter run to hold on for a non-conference victory. AJ Johnson and Christian Martinez led the Crusaders (1-4, 0-1) with 12 points each on the night while Kevin Slowik led the Red Devils (0-5, 0-3) with 13 points.

LANSING CHRISTIAN 66, WEST MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 49 – The Warriors fell to 3-3 on the season with a loss on Tuesday night. Chris Hain, Ryan Butkis and DeMonta Bartee scored eight points each for WMC. Lansing Christian was led by Matt Havey and Preston Granger, who scored 24 points and 21 points, respectively.

AVIATION ACADEMY 48, FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 45 – The Eagles were led in a losing effort by Zeri Zelenka with 17 points.
