The Muskegon Big Reds have dropped a rare two games in a row, following Tuesday’s 57-48 loss to Wayland Union on the road.

lsj-fb-logoThe Big Reds, now 7-3 on the season, also lost to Detroit East English Village on Saturday.

Muskegon led 14-13 after one quarter, but Wayland Union led 23-19 at halftime and 38-32 after three quarters.

The hosts sealed the victory with a 19-16 edge in the fourth quarter.

Wayland Union was hot from the floor, hitting 17 of 34 shots and converting 20 of 24 free throw attempts.

Muskegon only hit 13 of 49 field goal attempts (26 percent), and only made 5 of 21 three-point tries.

Michael Littlejohn led the Big Reds with 16 points while Linwood Lee added 11. Jacorey Sullivan pulled down six rebounds.

Zack Nieuwkoop had a game-high 26 points for Wayland Union while Avery Hudson added 16.
