Kent City’s varsity boys basketball team overcame a seven-point deficit in the fourth quarter to edge Sparta, 43-42.
Jace Dailey hit the game-winning basket with seven seconds left for the Eagles (7-5 overall). Luke Scheunemen had a team high 10 points for Kent City.
Luke O’Keefe was a key player in the Eagles’ comeback, scoring all seven of his points in the fourth quarter.
TRI COUNTY 76, FREMONT 52 – Fremont cut the Tri-County lead to 10 points in the second half but were unable to overcome 37 turnovers on the night. Cooper Kukal led the Packers (2-10, 1-4) with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
