The Jayhawks improved to 21-4 on the season and 11-2 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association’s Western Conference, good for a first-place tie with Lansing Community College.

“So proud of our effort tonight,” said MCC Coach Dave Schlump. “We showed what a veteran group this is and we made the plays when it mattered most.”

MCC closed out the game strong, outscoring Ancilla 41-34 during the second half.

Eddie Tornes paced the Jayhawks with 27 points, while Marcus Tumblin added 23 and Terrance Cosby grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.
