“Being a home game, it couldn’t have been a more perfect night,” said Spring Lake Coach Cavin Mohrhardt about Johnson’s accomplishment. “I called a time out and we made the announcement. She’s a floor general and just a plus to have on the team as a leader.”

The Lakers jumped out of the gates early with a full court press and ran to a 21-3 lead after the first quarter. By halftime, they led 31-15, then controlled the second half.

Remi French also had a big night for Spring Lake with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Jorden Peppin pulled down nine rebounds.

Montague’s Sydney Stine scored eight points and Emma Flagstead had seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
