The Vikings had a 33-17 lead at the half, then blew the contest open by outscoring Hart 19-10 in the third quarter.

CJ Watson and Luc Shumm were the Vikings’ top scorers with 16 and 12 points, respectively. Watson added five rebounds, three steals and three assists.

For Hart, Alex Dodson narrowly missed a triple-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocks. Austin Vanderlaan added nine points for the Pirates.

SHELBY 54, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 37 – The Tigers used strong defense to gradually improve on their 18-12 lead after the first quarter. Jeff Beckman’s game high 19 points led the way for Shelby (17-2, 12-2), which clinches a share of the West Michigan Conference title with Whitehall. Danny Beckman and Dustin Carlson-Hicks chipped in another 12 and 10 points, respectively. Ryan Mount had 15 points to lead the Spartans (9-9, 6-8) and Mitch Lange added another 11.

OAKRIDGE 59, RAVENNA 39 – Oakridge opened up an eight point lead in the first quarter and extended it throughout the game to beat Ravenna. Jaegar Beattie led the Eagles (14-5, 10-4) with 14 points.
