Pistons 125, Philadelphia 76ers 111 – Reggie Jackson’s 24 points and 10 assists led the Pistons over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.

LSJ Logo incertDetroit fell behind 32-27 after the first quarter, trailed 57-52 at halftime and led 90-87 after three quarters.

The Pistons closed out the game with a strong 35-24 fourth game run to seal the victory.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 23 points for Detroit, while Tobias Harris chipped in with 21 points. Andre Drummond posted a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds.Eye on the D

The 76ers were led by Isaiah Canaan with 22 points while former Michigan Wolverine Nik Stauskas chipped in with 15 off the bench.

The Pistons are now 34-32 on the season, good for eighth place in the Eastern Conference. They are one game ahead of the Chicago Bulls with 16 games remaining.

Detroit will finish its road trip against the Washington Wizards on Monday night.

Red Wings 3, Rangers 2 (OT) – Darren Helm’s game-winning overtime goal propelled the Red Wings over the New York Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Wings tied the game at 2-2 with a goal from Brad Richards with 32 seconds left in regulation, Helm scored 3:03 into the overtime period.

Helm paced Detroit with two goals while Danny DeKeyser picked up two assists.

Detroit’s goaltender Petr Mrazek picked up the victory, stopping 23 of 25 shots.

The Rangers were led by Chris Kreider with a goal and an assist while Derek Stepan added a goal.

The Red Wings are now 34-23-11 on the season, good for 79 points and fourth place in the Atlantic Division. They are three points ahead of Philadelphia for the final playoff spot with 14 games remaining.

Detroit will close its home stand against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday night.
