The Muskegon Community College softball team continued its great start by downing Lansing Community College 6-0 on its home field on Friday.

Katie Hendrickson led the way for the Jayhawks, pitching a two-hit shutout while striking out four. She also had two hits and two RBI at the plate.

MCC took the lead for good with a solo homer by Kyla Dutcher in the second inning. The Jayhawks broke open the game by scoring four runs in the sixth.

Carrie Mesman had a hit and three RBI for MCC, which improved to 16-4 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.
