Alexis Melton had the big bat for the Jayhawks with two hits and four RBIs. Carrie Mesman added two hits while Bri Mairose had one hit and two RBIs.

MCC pitcher Morgan Engelsman got the win despite giving up seven runs on 11 hits. She struck out seven and walked three.

The Jayhawks fell in the second game 8-5.

Kalamazoo CC jumped out to an early 2-0 advantage, then took the lead for good by scoring six runs in the fifth inning, aided by two MCC errors.

Mesman had two hits for MCC. Katie Hendrickson had a homer and two RBIs while Courtney Massau added one hit and one RBI.
