The Muskegon Catholic girls soccer team used a strong second half to pick up a 2-1 Lakes 8 Conference victory over Ludington on Wednesday.lsj-fb-logo

Ludington held a 1-0 halftime lead after Bethany Shay found the back of the net off an assist from Marissa Hansen.

The Crusaders tied the game 14:50 into the second half when Talia Tyler scored, with an assist from Lauren Doriot.

Doriot scored the winning goal later in the second half for the Crusaders, after the Oriole goalkeeper bobbled the ball.

The Crusaders outshot the Orioles 14-11. MCC goalie Isabelle Bertolone stopped 10 shots while Ludington keeper Allison Janowiak stopped 12.

Muskegon Catholic is now 5-0 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
