The Jayhawks won the opener 8-1, then fell 3-2 in the nightcap.

In Game 1 Bri Mairose led MCC with a double, three singles and two RBIs while Carrie Mesman added two hits and two runs scored. Morgan Giddings chipped in with a single, double and an RBI.

Jayhawks starting pitcher Morgan Engelsman picked up the win, allowing one run on seven hits while striking out four batters in seven innings.

In Game 2 Mairose led MCC with a solo home run while Mesman knocked in a run on a sacrifice fly.

Engelsman took the loss for the Jayhawks, allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out three batters in seven innings.

The Jayhawks are now 32-12 and 16-8 in conference play.
