Royals 8, Tigers 4 – The Kansas City Royals scored four first inning runs and never looked back in Saturday night’s win over the Tigers.

LSJ Logo incertThe Royals were paced by Eric Hosmer, Salvador Perez and Christian Colon with two hits apiece.

The Tigers were led in a losing effort by Ian Kinsler with a double, home run and two RBIs while Tyler Collins and Cameron Maybin chipped in with an RBI each.

Detroit’s starting pitcher Mike Pelfrey was rocked, allowing five runs on four hits while walking four batters in 1 2/3 innings.

Detroit will look to win the series against the Royals with a win on Sunday afternoon.
