On Saturday the Whitecaps fell 4-3 in 11 innings after scoring the first three runs of the game. While 0 Sunday Clinton beat West Michigan (49-40) 7-3.whitecaps logo not for feature art

The Whitecaps are now 49-40 on the season.

Will Allen paced West Michigan with three hits on Saturday while Cam Gibson and Will Maddox added two hits of their own. Whitecap starter Fernando Perez allowed three runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings before relief pitcher Ryan Milton pitched 2 2/3 innings while striking out five.

On Sunday, West Michigan was limited to six hits, including two from Arvicent Perez, who also scored a run. Gibson had two RBIs in the game.

West Michigan will finish its series with Clinton on Monday at noon before returning home on Wednesday for a six-game home stand.
