The Whitecaps finished with a 4-1-1 record over the home stand. They are now 14-14 in the second half of the season and in fourth place in the Midwest League Eastern Division, 4 1/2 games behind South Bend.

The Whitecaps had 10 hits on the night. Hill, Rashad Brown, Allen, and Jose Azocar all had two hits apiece. Allen also had two RBIs while Franklin Navarro added one.

West Michigan used a bullpen night to finish the series in order to save some innings on its starting pitchers. Over the nine innings the bullpen allowed three runs on eight hits while striking out five Burlington hitters.

The Whitecaps will open up a three game series at Fort Wayne on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. before returning home on July 30.
