The Hesperia volleyball team finished 4-2 and advanced to the semifinals of its own invitational tournament on Saturday.
The Panthers started the day 4-1 with victories in pool play over Marian, Orchard View, Muskegon Catholic and Newaygo. They also lost a pool play match to Newaygo.
Hesperia advanced to the tournament semifinals and lost to North Muskegon. The Norse won the tournament, defeating Godwin Heights 2-1 in the championship match.
Leading Hesperia on the day were Alyssa Miller with 25 kills, along with Claire Rumsey and Delaney Hussey with 23 apiece. Ceara Thomas had 75 assists and served seven aces, Rumsey had 26 digs and Miller had eight blocks.
