Western Michigan Christian evened its soccer record to 2-2 with a nonleague victory over NorthPointe Christian on Friday night. The Warriors celebrated their home
opener with a 3-0 victory over the Mustangs.
Senior captain Dylan Mines opened the scoring less than six minutes into the opening half with his first goal of the season. Junior Evan Fles found Mines, who buried a shot into the Mustang net.
In the second half, unassisted goals by Tommy TenCate and Owen Alfree capped the scoring for WMC. Goalkeeper Jacob Moser posted the shutout.
