On Monday, the Whitecaps faced a 1-0 deficit before Cam Gibson scored in the sixth inning on a wild pitch to tie the game.

The game remained tied until the top of the 12th inning when Lake County jumped ahead 2-1 and held on for the victory.

Hill and Will Allen paced the West Michigan offense with two hits apiece
