The Mona Shores volleyball team posted a 2-3 record on Saturday at the Fruitport Invitational.
The Sailors opened with a win over Traverse City West in three sets, lost to East Grand Rapids in two, then fell in a three-set match against Montague.
Mona Shores got past Fruitport in the quarterfinals in a close two set sweep before losing in the semifinals to East Grand Rapids in three sets.
The Sailors were paced by Grace Hellman with six aces, 28 kills and 29 digs. Madison Dunn added 23 kills and seven blocks while Katie Hermanson chipped in with 78 assists.
Haley Gartland led Mona Shores defensively with 39 digs while Ryleigh Wehler had seven blocks.
The Sailors are now 14-9 on the season and are 6-0 in O-K Black Conference play.
