The North Muskegon soccer team defeated Grand Rapids Covenant Christian 5-1 on Thursday in a battle of state-ranked teams.
The Norse, who improved to 12-0-2 on the season, came into the contest ranked third while Covenant Christian was ranked seventh.
Spencer Mueller had a big game for North Muskegon, registering two goals and two assists. Justice Sikkema added two goals and one assist while Henry Vanderwoude tallied a single goal.
Zach Burdon had a pair of assists for the Norse. Zach Massey and Ian Collins split the two halves in goal, combining to stop seven shots.
