Raptors 109, Pistons 91 – The Pistons failed to stop Toronto’s star DeMar DeRozan who paced the Raptors with 40 points in their opening season win over Detroit on Wednesday night.

LSJ Logo incertToronto jumped out a 33-23 after the first quarter, led 58-46 at halftime and had an 86-71 advantage after three quarters.

Jonas Valanciunas chipped in with 32 points and 11 rebounds for the Raptors.

The Pistons were led in a losing effort by Tobias Harris with a team-high 22 points.

Marcus Morris added 17 points and nine rebounds for Detroit and all-star Andre Drummond had 16 points.Eye on the D

Detroit will look to bounce back with a win on its home opener on Friday against the Orlando Magic.
