The Pirates surged to the top at the meet thanks to personal best times from Adelyn Ackley, Alayna Ackley, Brenna Aerts, Jade Self, Tyra Bromley, Tristyn Creed and Bridney Galindo.

With the league championship at stake, Hart will have a 12-point lead going into the final conference meet on Tuesday at Oakridge. Before that, Hart will run on Thursday in the Pink & Green Run at the Oceana County Club located just north of Shelby. Others schools competing include Shelby, Walkerville, Hesperia and Pentwater.

Also on Tuesday, North Muskegon’s boys took top honors at the WMC league meet. Hart placed fifth, with potential all-conference runner Hunter Tubbs leading the way for the Pirates.

Hart also had Robbie Altland, Noah Cantu and Nahum Rodriguez run to personal best times.
