Kent City volleyball team still perfect in CSAA, powers past White Cloud

Kent City’s varsity volleyball squad continued to breeze through the Central State Activities Association on Wednesday with a 3-0 sweep of White Cloud. LSJ Logo incert

The Eagles prevailed by scores of 25-15, 25-11, and 25-9. They improve to 7-0 in league play and 30-5-1 overall.

Kent City remains ranked No. 6 in Class C in the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association state rankings.

Kassidy Heeringa led Kent City in assists with 10 and also was tops in kills with seven. Kelsey Krueger had a solid match with 17 digs and four kills, while Meghan Boyd totaled five kills and three aces.

Kent City also blocked extremely well during the match, with Haley Bracewell totaling 3.5 and Kaitlyn Geers adding two.
