The Muskegon Heights girls basketball squad defeated Manistee Catholic Central 53-23 at home on Tuesday in its season opener.
The Tigers jumped out to a 16-4 first quarter lead behind Makayla Anderson’s 10 first quarter points and never looked back.
Makayla Anderson finished with 21 points for the Tigers while Rayanique Anderson added 12 assists and six steals. Danasia Day added 14 points for Muskegon Heights and Kahwhi Johnson contributed with nine points and three rebounds.
