The Whitehall boys basketball team cruised to a 56-23 victory over Fruitport on Tuesday night in a non-league contest.

The Vikings had 12 different players score, led by Brandon Rake with 11.

Drew Lynch added six rebounds for Whitehall while Luc Schumm chipped in with five assists.

Whitehall jumped out to a 26-6 lead after the first quarter and led 38-9 at halftime.

The Trojans were led by Brendan Kemme with six points.

LUDINGTON 73, REETHS-PUFFER 47 – The Orioles flew by the Rockets with help from a 16-6 second quarter advantage. Noah Laman led Ludington with 14 points while Emcee Williams led Reeths-Puffer with 14 points.

 

SPARTA 55, FREMONT 39 – Sparta had Fremont on the ropes early with an 18-5 lead after one. Fremont closed the deficit to as little as nine points with four minutes to play but couldn’t finish the comeback. Sparta outrebounded Fremont 39-19, and was led by Justin Bradford with 18 points. Fremont was led by Logan Karnemaat with 11 points and Ryan Geeting with 10.
