The 15th Annual Meijer Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame Classic basketball tournament, featuring the Muskegon Big Reds, is scheduled for Wednesday at Reeths-Puffer High School.

The action-packed, one-day event will include three games.

The first will be a matchup of two of the area’s top girls teams, Oakridge and Reeths-Puffer, at 5:30 p.m.

The second contest, scheduled for 7 p.m., will pit two undefeated state-ranked Class A powers going head-to-head. Grand Rapids Christian, led by Mr. Basketball favorite and 6-foot-8 MSU commit Xavier Tillman, will take on West Ottawa and 6-foot-6 star Jake VanTubbergen.

The third and final game of the evening will pit Muskegon against East Kentwood in a boys game at 8:30 p.m. The two teams have met in the Hall of Fame Classic for the past four years, with each claiming two victories.

The single admission price for all three games is $5. The tournament has raised more than $125,000 for Muskegon-area schools over the years.
