The Newaygo girls basketball team picked up its second win of the season with a 71-29 victory over Hesperia on Tuesday.

The Lions led 14-3 after the first quarter, 32-12 at the half and 54-18 after three. Newaygo was led by Alexis Brocker with 17 points and Kylee Chesley with 14.

Alyssa Miller had a good night for Hesperia with 12 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocked shots. Ami Tateyama added seven points for the Panthers.
