Calvin Hackert had a game-high 23 points to lead Ludington to a big 60-44 victory over Muskegon Heights in Lakes 8 Conference boys basketball action on Friday.

Ludington jumped out to a 13-5 lead after one quarter and had a commanding 31-17 advantage at halftime. Noah Laman recorded a double-double for the Orioles with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 63, WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 36 – The Crusaders broke the Lakes 8 game open in the third quarter by outscoring the Warriors 22-10. MCC (3-4, 2-1) had four players score in double figures. LaTommy Scott had a game-high 17 points; Cam Martinez posted 12 points, eight rebounds, and five assists; Nick Morgenstern added 14 points and eight rebounds while AJ0 Johnson had 11 points. Daniel Ray led WMC (2-4, 1-2) with 10 points.

O-K RED

GRAND HAVEN 67, CALEDONIA 57 – The Bucs (7-1, 1-0) welcomed Caledonia to the O-K Red by beating the Scots in their own gym. Zac Holman paced Grand Haven with 22 points while Casey Constant chipped in 12, Ross Koella added 11 and Drew Van Andel posted nine.

NON-LEAGUE

SPRING LAKE 68, REETHS-PUFFER 39 – The Lakers (5-1) had an 11-point halftime lead and increased their advantage to 23 by the end of the third quarter. Isaiah Pierce had a career-high 14 points for the Lakers, while Sam Johnson and Craig Whittaker added 13 and 10 points, respectively. The Rockets (1-5) were led by Carter Fulton with 10 points.

CSAA

BIG RAPIDS 64, FREMONT 48 – The Packers trailed 33-23 at halftime and committed 25 turnovers. Ryan Geeting led Fremont with 18 points.
