Shelbey Younts has 13 points and seven steals to lead the Holton girls basketball team to a 42-34 win over Lakeview in CSAA Silver Division action.

The Red Devils took control of the contest with a 15-6 first quarter advantage. Alicia Dykman added 10 points for Holton.

Holton improved to 8-4 overall and 2-2 in the league.

KENT CITY 76, HESPERIA 31 – The Eagles were led by Teanna Mccuaig and Kaitlyn Geers, who scored 20 points apiece. Kent City (8-2, 5-0 conference) jumped out to a 29-17 lead after the first quarter and led 49-28 at halftime. Janelle Krueger chipped in 12 points for the Eagles. Allison Bayle and Ami Tateyama each scored 12 points for Hesperia.

GRANT 51, NEWAYGO 34 – The Tigers outscored Newaygo 24-6 in second quarter to take a 29-11 lead going into halftime. Laura Bouwlamp led Grant (2-9, 1-5) with 18 points, while Ashley Herin and Kylie Patton each added 12 points.
