The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team downed Glen Oaks Community College 87-66 on Wednesday.

The Jayhawks jumped out to an 11-0 lead and never looked back. They improved to 10-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play.

Kyle Ervin Jr exploded in the second half for 21 of his game-high 28 points. He grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds in the contest.

Three other Jayhawks hit double figures – Daryl Kirkland with 20 points, Mike Williams with 14 points and 11 rebounds and Ricarri Stimage with 18 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

“I really was happy with the way we came out in the first half and took the fight to them, and also for the way we closed out the first half,” said MCC Coach Dave Schlump.

MCC will visit Mid-Michigan Community College on Saturday.
