The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls basketball squad took a step towards another Alliance League title with a 47-42 win over Tri-Unity Christian on the road on Saturday.

The Eagles, who improved to 8-1 on the season, made eight straight free throws during the final minutes of the game to seal the victory.

The Eagles led 24-15 at halftime.

Kelsey Richards led Fruitport Calvary Christian with 15 points and five assists, while Allyson Richard chipped in with 15 points and four assists. Lexy Wilson added eight points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles and Kyleah Sutherland grabbed nine rebounds.
