The Whitehall girls basketball squad picked up a non-league victory over Muskegon Catholic 37-22 on Tuesday night.

Julie Brown posted a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds for the Vikings, who improved to 4-6 on the season.

The Vikings jumped out to a 16-1 lead after the first quarter of play.

Kacey Jeffries added 11 points for Whitehall, while Sierra Spann chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.

The Crusaders dropped their record to 4-5 overall.

MONA SHORES 50, BYRON CENTER 33 – The Sailors (9-2, 3-0) jumped out to a 16-6 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Alyza Winston finished with 17 points for Mona Shores while Jordan Walker added 13 points, seven steals, seven assists, and five rebounds.

FREMONT 45, GRANT 33 – Bre Harris scored 22 points and swiped six steals to lead the Packers over Grant on Tuesday. Fremont (8-2, 4-1) led 9-5 after one quarter, 15-12 at halftime and had a 26-23 advantage after three before pulling away in the final stanza. Anna Patenge had eight points and 12 rebounds for the Packers. Laura Boukamp scored 10 points to lead Grant.

HOLTON 50, RAVENNA 20 – Kaylyn Korstanje, Alicia Dykma and Shelbey Younts each scored 12 points for Holton (7-4, 1-2) in non-league action Tuesday night. The Red Devils jumped out to a 14-4 lead after the first quarter and took a 25-11 lead into the half. Holton’s defense held Ravenna to just one point in the third quarter. Jessica McWaters led the Bulldogs with 12 points.

WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 65, POTTERS HOUSE 19 – WMC jumped out to a 20-8 lead after the first quarter, led 42-10 at halftime and had a 54-16 advantage heading into the fourth quarter. The Warriors were led by Aubrey Goorman with 20 points and eight rebounds while Grace Johnson dished out six assists.

FRUITPORT CALVARY 71, WELLSPRING PREP 21 – Allyson Richards led the Eagles with 26 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in an Alliance League win on Tuesday. Fruitport Calvary led at halftime by a 39-10 margin. Lexy Wilson added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles while Kelsey Richards chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds.
