Jordan Walker became the all-time Mona Shores leading scorer for the girls basketball team during Friday’s 68-31 win over Fruitport in an O-K Black conference game.

Walker scored 29 points, grabbed nine rebounds and picked up seven assists for the Sailors, who improved to 8-2 on the season and 3-0 in league play.

“We’d of liked for her to break it at home,” said Shores head coach Brad Kurth about Walker’s record breaking performance. “But it’s great to have a milestone like that with another 11 games to go. Fruitport was nice to stop the game and let her be recognized. We appreciate that.”

The Trojans (1-7, 0-3) were led by Iyana Brown and Emily Winicki with nine points each.
